i'd buy a b20 or b18b longblock for cheap and build it for boost. your LS tranny is better than a GSR tranny for turbo anyway. just get a nice clutch and keep your stock flywheel. and make sure you get a good fuel setup.
I much rather have a GS-R tranny than an LS tranny if given the choice. You'll be in boost longer on an LS transmission because of the longer gearing, but a GS-R transmission will always be faster with the shorter gearing.
