The regular Outback is based on the Legacy, and the Outback Sport is based on the Impreza. They're like the normal car versions but they have raised suspensions, SUV tires, and SUV-lookin body cladding.

You can get an 01 or 02 Outback here for US$15K or less. If you need more cargo capacity, the Forester is also a good choice.
