Back pressure will be unavoidable, but should be minimized, and use of some form of exhaust header or manifold is a necessity to prevent possible valve damage.
I'm not going to pretend I know what I'm talking about, maybe I'm a clubsi.com ricer, but I was under the assumption that you need some backpressure
to keep exhaust velocity up. Otherwise people would all be using 5" exhaust piping right?
