The difficulty depressing the clutch just screams master cylinder (or possibly slave) cylinder failure. Or the pressure plate popped a spring.
I was thinking it was one of the cylinders but the garage tested the system and everything checked out. Seeing how the pressure plate is new, I don't see that being a real possibility. Plus, it was doing that before the new clutch. Thanks for all the help though.
