perfect, i was going to ask the same question. i have a 96 civic dx, and i want to swap in a b16. i have read a couple of things saying that it has to be from the same year as your car or newer. how would the markings on the engine prove what year it was from? also would the new engine pass the sniffer test? and isnt the b16 and obd1 and mine is obd2? and how will that work. i also live in cali and would like to swap my motor. if i were to do so, i would get a usdm from hmotor. they say it has everything for a complete swap....if i just use the stuff that comes with it will that pass me with the state ref? thanks guys.
