If you take the head off yourself... disassemble, hot tank, spec and reassemble was $235 at my local machine shop. Plus it will cost a hundred bucks or so for some new valves.

If you don't take the head off yourself... $600 to take the head off, $235 to do the head, and then valves, and then probably $200 to put the head back on.
