well so it all went down last nite, here's how it went.

in my nervous haste, i forgot my house key hnoes: and there was no lucky unlocked door or window for me to enter through.... so i called Holly at work and told her i forgot my key.
she said "thats okay, go to the store and pick up some garlic bread for dinner"
so i was like okay - no wait! i dont have any money i cant buy garlic bread... so she said she'd come home a few minutes early so i could get in....

anyway she gets home and i told her she had to go to the store alone, i had to finish getting her present together for her.

while she was gone, i took an empty box from the basement and put some junk in it to give it some weight & rattle... a piece of ceramic tile, a piece of wood, some PVC...

so when it was time to do gifts, i told her she had to shut her eyes, i didnt get a chance to wrap it for her... i knew that would piss her off even a little bit more... so i made sure she kept her eyes shut til i said it was okay... i put the box on her lap and knelt down, and held the diamond over the box so she would see it. i said okay, you can open now...

when she opened her eyes, she just sorta stared like :wtf: cuz she didnt see it coming AT ALL. so i asked her "will you marry me" and she starting to cry a little and said "are you kidding?!?!" i said "no im not kidding i have the diamond right here" after what felt like an hour but was probably 2 seconds she said "yes!" and jumped up and gave me a big hug, and then admired the ring some more...

i gotta be honest, we tried to take pictures with her digital cam and they didnt come out too good cuz to get it to focus right, it had to zoom out too far to really see the detail..... any closer and it was blurry.... im gonna see if we can find somebody with a better camera to get some decent pictures, i have some friends with some crazy cams....
