So, are you saying that the Kent State shootings were alright because the students were throwing rocks at the soldiers? Protests are part of democracy, whether you like it or not, and the more you beat them down, the more they get pissed off. Those beatings accomplished nothing but fill someones deranged ego and piss off even more people.

Our presence in Iraq depends on popular opinion. As soon as people don't want us there, it's over. Some soldiers beating on citizens for throwing rocks CAN NOT happen. According to the world, we must be PERFECT.
