I don't like Comptech (or JRSC) blowers because they are roots positive displacement blowers which usually do jack shit on smaller engines, which includes a 3.0 liter V6. You can only force so much air into 3000cc's worth of space before the gases can't escape quick enough.

These type of blowers work well on big engines like domestic V8's because they have a lot of displacement to fill with only atmospheric pressure forcing air in. 7psi of natural atmospheric pressure has a lot easier time filling 3000cc then it does 6000cc.

That's why turbochargers work better on smaller engines because it creates a vacuum effect on the intake by forcing out exhaust gases, essentially solving the problem stated before.

Now something like a Vortech centrifigual supercharger which needs to spin up to 100,000RPM before creating boost is better. It doesn't spool nearly as quickly as a roots, but by the time it hits 100,000RPM and is creating boost, you're at 4000RPM+ and the engine is in a better position to flow exhaust gases more efficiently.
I'm surprised you don't get far more poon with your vast knowledge of piston rings and turbochargers :chuckles:

Seriously though, you're teaching me a lot today
