cam gears
taek out the governer
chip it
headers
exhaust
intake
anymore suggestions???
:lmao: 250 to the wheels...the J30A1 puts down like 160-165 stock on a really good day with the shitty automatic. I wouldn't go over 210 or 220 (with nitrous or an S/C) unless you want to upgrade your tranny or end up replacing it every 30-40k miles.
cam gears: 0 horsepower unless you're fairly heavily modified, and if you don't know what you're doing you're gonna screw up your timing and kill your gas mileage in a bad way.
taek out the governer:...there is no governor, the car's top speed is aerodynamically limited
chip it: A Unichip for I/H/E will get you about 7HP extra (not counting the other mods) average across the powerband for $750. A unichip without I/H/E, just a stock AV6, will get you like 10-12HP average.
headers: they'll get you quite a bit of power, all around the power band. See comptech's site:
http://www.comptechusa.com/store/med...Headerplot.pdf
exhaust: maybe 4-5 WHP depending on what kind you get
intake: an SRI will get you like 8-10 horsies I reckon. I have this and it made a huge difference, I really like it.
So say peak power is around 56-5800RPM...with all those you're looking at a max gain of about 30WHP for around $2500 easily not installed. So you'll be looking at maybe 210-215 or so WHP. I haven't done it because it's not worth it to me, but the J30A1 has some potential. Not nearly as much as the A4 or the J32, but it's there. Good luck
