I'm not up on all the headers. I just know by rumblings over the years that DC Sports is or has been pretty good for Hondas.
I think a 30 HP gain from a header alone is pretty ambitious, though I guess its possible. I mean, I guess if you got those sonic pulses tuned just right; but that's maybe more marketing BS... ooops... I mean "speak" than real numbers. But hey if someone can slap on a certain header with nothing else and, via a dyno, see that much gain; then wow, a header does more than I ever thought, especially for an Accord.
I think 5-10-15 is probably more inline with what a header that has been well made for the application it's being applied to can do. Now, I'm not talking about and I don't know about the crazy, high-dollar headers for hardcore racing applications or anything like that. Maybe those kinds do add that much. I don't know.
Now, if you said 30 HP gain with a new intake, header and cat. back exhaust together, then sure, absolutely possible and maybe then some. But I always stay conservative when someone asks me what to reasonably expect.
And too, is that 30 HP supposed gain on the same model Accord or was that some other application that the company is trying to brag about. You see where I'm going ? I mean what a header does on an STi isn't the same thing it does for an Accord or whatever. Know what I mean?
