Honda changed the recommendation to 5W-20 due to emissions and gas mileage benefits. 5W-30 will protect your engine better. I don't really care if I get 26.3 or 26.5 MPG, so I prefer 5W-30.
I understand why oil burns, but why would there be less oil bun off with synthetic as opposed to dino?
