Base Price: N/AEngine: DOHC Triton 5.4L 3V V8, 300hp/365lb-ftHighlights: Lots and lots of chrome...anyway, they'll also have an extra long 'L' version with a ridiculous 128 cubic feet of cargo space, 6-speed automatic, 600 watt audio system, navigation system, towing capacity of 9100 lbs.Exterior: Interior: Performance: Value: Overall: D 1978 called and they want their gauges and fuel economy back...interior materials haven't gotten any better, tasteless exterior design that will probably be laughed at in the coming decades, and a whole 100 horsepower less than the 'Slade. Not quite sure I understand why they think the Zephyr taillights were also designed for a giant SUV. Is this the pinnacle of American 12 MPG bling?





2007 Hyundai Entourage

Base Price: $23,795Engine: DOHC Lambda 3.8L V6, 242hp/251 lb-ftHighlights: Lots of safety for a good price, EBD and ABS, triple climate control, windshield wiper de-icing systemExterior: Interior: Performance: Value: Overall: B Aside from the Renault headlights and the fact that it's still a Hyundai, a great minivan at a great price built for the masses. It doesn't have the luxury of the Sienna or the craftsmanship/features/performance of the Odyssey, but the new Entourage appeals to a wide array of price-conscious families.





2007 Lexus ES350

Base Price: $32,000 (est)Engine: DOHC 3.5L V6, 272hpHighlights: 6-speed automatic, 21/30 mpg, power steering wheel, 10 air bags, 70,000 a year expectedExterior: Interior: Performance: Value: Overall: B- Looks too much like an IS350, and an odd center stack for a mainstream Lexus. Power is finally on par with the rest of the class, and since the IS350 appeals to buyers who like their suspensions super stiff, the ES350 can once again fully concentrate on a super comfortable ride with little to no road feel. Not really groundbreaking in anyway.





2007 Dodge Caliber SRT-4

Dear Honda, Can we please have the 2.3L i-VTEC turbo in the Civic for $23k? And check out that glovebox...Chrysler is kicking some serious ass lately.

Base Price: $25,000 (est)Engine: 3.7L or 4.0L SOHC V6, 210hp/235lb-ft, 255hp/275lb-ft (R/T)Highlights: Available 4WD, 5000lb towing capacity, optional Navi with traffic info, rear independent suspension, 6-speed manual or 4-speed auto,Exterior: Interior: Performance: Value: Overall: B I guess Chrysler liked the Honda Element. This will slot nicely between the Caliber and Durango, and has a lot of attractive options and features. The interior is fairly attractive, but someone at DCX needs to design a different stereo head unit.





2007 Toyota Tundra

Base Price: $23,000 (est)Engine: 4.0L V6, 4.7L V8, 5.7L V8Highlights: Can tow over 10,000 lbs, more than 30 different models, trailer hitch integrated into frame, Exterior: Interior: Performance: N/AValue: N/AOverall: A Toyota's latest attempt to take over the world is stunning in just about every way. The new Tundra is a monster, but its interior looks as inviting as a Camry's and is nicely 'trucked' up to appeal to its crowd. That armrest is wider than my car I think.
