The HAN team (Nelson's idea ) agreed that thread lurking be disabled in the On-Topic and Off-Topic rooms. There's no need for any non-registered member read what's going on here.

Thread lurking in all the other forums is allowed. If you search Google or Yahoo for tech questions and find a link to HAN, you're more than welcome to view the information.

In the Basement, we'd have 120 viewers, but 50 members ... 70 people would spy or come from other forums to see a funny thread. 70 non-members looking at non-tech = unneeded server strain.
