well, there's a difference between being torqued down, and being torqued down under load. if this is a suspension shop, i would assume they would know to do the latter.

it's certainly not out of the question that you need to bushings, but it's possible that you don't. sometimes mechanics like to recommend things that are unnecessary.

if you're going to replace your bushings, polyurethane is probably the way to go. do a search and you should find plenty of info.. however, you should be aware that it's more of a pain in the ass to do bushings than springs/shocks.
