Without the original wiring harness, try this:
-turn the ignition key to off
-connect the ground clamp of your circuit power tester to ground
-test each fuse under the steering wheel (looking for one that remains hot with the car completely off)

I think, the fuse (circuit) that supplies the ECU's memory is always hot.
