Vtec kicks in at 3500rpm in the Accord V6. If your car is broken in then you should take your car to Max Throttle and extend it through the gears. You need to blow the carbon out every once in a while and keep your engine healthy. You should be able to hear and or feel VTEC kick in when you extend the car past 3500rpm. Intake really increases the sound and feel of VTEC.
