May want to first start out with a good, honest, reliable mechanic. I would then sugges the following. Depending on the state of your motor, you may
want to consider rebuilding the bottom end.

Slight overbore/honing .30
New type R pistons and rings
Cams, springs and retainers
Cam gears & belt
ECU upgrade
Dyno & tuning
Good header and intake manifold

Very expenisve, might want to consider a turbo. Good luck.
