Sounds like the answer to my question is 'Accord'. Actually, for the last day or two I've been driving my daughter's '95 Accord Coupe (V-Tec), and its not so bad at all.

That bit about Integra/Civic, Prelude/Accord got my wheels turning. Maybe I'll investigate the Prelude idea.....

Any Prelude suggestions as to what to look for, and what to avoid?

I really like the V-tec engine and want to stick with it, and no way do I want another automatic, unless there's one in my hearse someday, and that'll be beyond my control! :-)
