I have seen about a dozen V6 accords 98-02's that have a hot soak problem like this. It will start and run fine cold but after it's warm and you shut it off for 10-15 mins. it will die and run like crap when you start it.
We tried everything to fix it, EGR, injectors, ECU's, Valve adjustments, Coil packs,Fuel pressure regulators, etc.. Honda's factory techline told us to replace all these parts and still the cars have this problem. From what I've been told the fuel is vaporizing in the lines before it gets to the injectors when the car is warm. Techline gave us an "unofficial fix" for now which works ok but it doesn't fix the original problem just fixes the symtoms.
What you do is take off the power steering pump, directly beneath it there is a two pin connector that is secured to the engine. Unconnect it and jumper the pins on the female side going to the ECU. reassemble the car. The problem will be gone but the fans will run for 15 mins EVERY time the car is shut off. It sound crazy but it works perfect. I'm assuming that the fans keep it cool enough so the fuel doesn't vaporize before the injectors...
