hook up a light to the vtec solenoid or you can use a voltmeter. 1 wire to the solenoid wire and the other to ground, when the solenoid receives power to engage vtec, you will have voltage and the light or meter will indicate it. btw you must be going 25 mph+ for vtec to engage
