($400-600) and a turbo kit for about 1500. that's reallie cheap for the amount of power you are getting + this motor is made for turbo and is going to last you a while if you tune it. life span is from 2 years to 5 years ave. im me if anything
Your not going to find a complete b18b/a motor for $400-$600 (complete swap)...
you will make the same if not a little more power with a b16a turbo vs the b18b turbo. The b16a can actually handle a little more power then the b18b.....both can easily make 300whp, but the b16 can be safely pushed past 300whp ...upwards of 350whp....(same goes for the b18c)......
The compression of the b16a if fine, actually IMO it's great for a boosted street set-up running moderate boost (10-12psi)........
slg32682, how much power are you looking to make and how much are you willing to spend? You can pick up another d16 swap for under $500 (engine tranny,ecu,etc)....spend another $1,500 or so and you can be in the ballpark of about 230whp and 200+ft lbs of tq........
Or a b18b will set you back about $1,000 for the swap and the b16 will set you back about $1,500 for the swap....all of which drop rite in.....
The h22a requires a mount kit ($500) and some custom fabrication.......thats why most don't go that route, in the end your better off spending a tad more (initially) to get the b18c1.....plus if you ever decide to boost your engine the b-series will make more safer power then the h22. The h22 has weak ringlands that are not very forgiving...........
