I guess u could try lubing the cable from the speedo side. Remove the cable by reaching under the dash, grab hold of where the cable meets the display, and feel for a "clip". Push the clip, and slide the cable right out, then I guess u could lube it. I don't know if u should do that though. Besides, the cable is only like 30 bucks from honda. I had to replace mine cuz the speedo kept jiggling between certain miles per hour.
