For a 92 Si, I know that the tranny is an S20, right? What are the numbers on the ls tranny for the d-series. I think it's a great idea to do that 5th gear. I have been thinking about the SAME thing recently. Changing out the entire tranny might not be such a bad idea. I don't really need the short gears for the way I drive anyway.
