yep, I had the same problem, and a cluster swap was what it took in the end. Changed the VSS twice, and still would mess up. (I actually had to change the cluster twice too, but I got a good working one.) Here is why I posted though, my "new" cluster is actually starting to have issues. So, I wonder if the clusters go bad a lot (not likely) or if the car in question has issues that cause the clusters to go bad. Some food for thought.
