i think the 'shift lock', the one you stick a key in only disables the lock from park, when the cars off.. i could be wrong i dont wanna go out and check. but i disabled the button, so i can shift without brake from park, and i can shift from 3-2-1 and n-r, etc never pressing button. how the button works is as you press it in, it presses down a shaft with lifts up the piece which locks it into gear(if you're still following my ghettoness, good job), so the answer, to leave the lock up, you do this by having the shaft always pressed down. you can figure out how to do this your own way, or do it my way. at first i taped it down, but the the knob wopuldn't fit back on. so next what i did was wrap tape around the button(when it's out) around the white part that the shaft goes into, this way it is always pressing down the shaft. now stick the button back in the knob, and push the knob back on, and there you go. just don't wrap too much tape around the button or it won't fit back into the know.

wow this is so really bad directions, my vocabulary is too small for good directions, oh well, if you have questions ask, actually take apart the shifter and you should be able to figure it out

and yo sham, i need directions to make a boot cause im dumb, thanks
