When the Air Max 95 came out, I remember at the time Nike was doing these ads in the back of Sports Illustrated where it was just the shoe at a weird angle on a white background.

I remember the first one that they did was for the Air Max 95. I didn't manage to get those when they were fresh and they stopped the initial run, but then they did an ad for the original Air Max Uptempo David Robinsons and I so got those. They looked like this:



Oh man in 7th grade those shoes were the shit!

Then in 8th grade they had another one of them ads for the original Penny Hardaway shoes which had like, the phone dial lookin thing on the side made out of foam. They said 1c on the back but they weren't the Air Max Pennys. I can't find a picture of em.

I never did get those Air Max 95's though...
