What really fuels the hatred that people have. Its as if we have learned to accept it in our society. Its almost ok to be prejudice and because of free speech people can say what they want about whoever. I believe in hating a persons actions not their background or beliefs. If you hate black people then I suppose its your bussiness but don't expect me to jump on your bandwagon because one person outside your own race did something to you and somehow disrespected your entire race and this goes for all races. Hate is a terrible thing and it really should be addressed by the law makers. Hate should be at least another 10 years added to a prison sentance if the crime was motivated by hate or dislike. Alot of senseless crimes happened because of the dislike or hatred the perpertrator had for the victim.
i think the main thing that breeds prejudice and hatred is fear. it's part of human nature to fear the unknown and that fear usually leads to hatred. the bottom line is that there are way too many cultures in this country for everyone to ever get along. there will always be a difference of opinion, whether it be between 2 people or 2000 people. the closest thing we can hope for as a people is tolerance.
