ONLY USE HONDA ATF FLUID.

If the transmission almost wont move then I think its on the verge of croaking.
Was this a mechanic that told you this?

Your best bet would be to drain the transmission and just refill it with ATF fluid.
Take her for a spin and see if its any better.

I just changed my tranny fluid 2 weeks ago and it does feel a lot smoother.
