I had a thousand lying around but i paid off MY debt. Then some creditors called saying my in-laws didn't pay one of their cc bills so now i got stuck paying another 1100 from my upcoming check to cover their asses. I do have a credit card and tried doing a balance transfer but they wont allow me to do so unless the bill was under my name. So luckily i get paid this fri to cover that but now i have to pay catch up on my bills and the house utilities.
