Rev Limiter Question
My buddy's got a 1998 Civic LX, which has a D16Y7 motor in it, and I have a 2000 Civic LX, with the same motor, a D16Y7. Both with auto trannys. When your in Park/Nuetral, theres some kind of rev limiter. His is at 5000 RPM, and mines at 4500 RPM. If we both have the same motor, how come his is higher up in the RPM's? I know its only 500 RPM, but still. Its nowhere near the redline, so redlining shouldnt be the problem. How come his is higer than mine? The only difference with the motors is that I have a short ram intake, and his is all stock. That shouldnt make a difference, should it?
