O.K. there is two hoses that are connected to the stock intake. One is fairly large and goes from the valve cover to the intake pipe. The second one is a regular little black vaccum hose that is about 2.5 inches long and leads to the intake manifold. My brother has not had that hooked up to his intake for a few years now and there has been no effect. Of course it's there for a reason, but you car will run fine without it connected.
