What a spoiler does-provide downforce to the car directly over where it is positioned
why-to have traction at high speeds ( cornering )
Question--On a front wheel drive car, why would you want to apply downforce to the non-driving wheels that don't move the car?
Awnser--You wouldn't want to apply downforce anywhere on the car that could create drag--i.e.-on a front wheel drive car, you wouldn't want downforce over the rear wheels...you would want downforce on the front wheels...
So if you absolutely have to have a spoiler, and you have a front wheel drive car ( anyone in this forum ) do yourself a favor, and mount it where it will actually do you some good...on your hood, set just infront of the center caps on your wheels...
This will also do the rest of us quite well also...since you won't be able to see over your dumbass spoiler, you'll wreck, hopefully remove yourself from the gene pool, and help the rest of us by being one less dipshit with a spoiler on a frontwheel drive...
