BBTS vs TFSource
Price:
TFSource
Pepsi Prime, $52.99 (pre-order price "mint box")
Galvatron, $67.99 (pre-order price "mint box")
Shipping: $6 for the first figure, $2 for each additional figure
BBTS:
Pepsi Prime, $59.99 (+$2 collectors grade)
Galvatron, $77.99 (+$2 collectors grade)
Shipping: pending pile of loot, combined, around $12
Advantage: TFSource
Packaging:
From what I've seen, both BBTS and TFSource do not skimp on the wrapping. Here's an example of TFSource's work.
All boxes came bundled in bubble wrap, surrounded by paper. Each TF is individually wrapped in a thick tissue like paper. It feels like silk, but you can't see though it. BBTS offers mylar bags, which is a huge + for long term protection.
TIE. BBTS offers mylar bags, TFSource charged much less for shipping
Speed:
BBTS is on top of the Takara food chain. Not only do they get first shipments, they rush deliver it to their warehouse. BBTS is always the 1st to have stock.
TFSource is a bit lower on the food chain. Because of the holidays, Takara was closed from December 29th till January 3rd. January 4th the Pepsi Primes left Japan.
Most BBTS customers had a Pepsi Prime in their hands while TFSource's was still on a plane.
Advantage: BBTS
Misc:
TFSource included a FREE World's Smallest Transformer with my order. I have no idea who's in the box, because it's still factory sealed.
BBTS ... well ... yea.
Advantage: TFSource
Conclusion
Both companies offers flawless toys. TFSource's "Mint Box" and BBTS' "Collectors Grade" are both C10. BBTS is much quicker than TFSource, but TFSource offers better upfront pricing and cheaper shipping. The entire TFS order was $129 shipped, BBTS was around $154.
If you can wait a week longer, TFSource is the store of choice.
