Well if you run the 16g, i would only run about 8psi on stock internals, it flows alot more then the 14b, and running 10 with it would certainly lead to some nasty engine issues. Also make sure you check your oil pressure. What size oil feed line are you using? Stealthmodeperformance.com sells an oil restrictor which is cheap insurance to help keep pressure down, i run that on my 14b set up. Also, i dont suggest boosting long with nothing but a VAFC to control the fuel. Look into chrome or uberdata so you can tune fuel and timing correctly.
