An engine is an engine. These too engines are almost identical. Forget using any accessories from the Y8 use your existing power steering and AC stuff. It will bolt right on. Unless for some stupid reason you want to have an OBDII computer you don't need to change the wiring, you have all the connectors there that it will need. Your using your same transmission? then you don't need to do anything about axles. The onlything I see that you'll need to change is the mount that attached to the front of the engine pull the one off of your Z6 engine and put it on the Y8. If the Y8 for some reason is from an automatic you'll need to use your Z6 Intake manifold. Automatic Y8's used a 3 wire Idle air control on the Throttle body and don't have the holes on the back of the manifold for the 2 wire setup. Hope this helps.
Ok, cool. You've helped a LOT. The tranny is coming with the car. Car is a 5 speed, y8. When I go to autozone to pick up axles, I tell them they're for a 96-00??
