x.com used to be an internet bank. paypal bought them out a long time ago. i used to have an account with them about 7 years ago.

i've seen spoof paypal sites that hide your address bar and creates a fake one (using javascript?) that says paypal.com.

don't click links. always type in the address into your address bar. especially for paypal.
