Default Wheel Spin in Neutral? normal?

ok, so i was changing my tranny fluid in the daily driver (95 2dr DX 5spd).

threw it up on stands / drained fluid, figured i'd do oil change as well due to a road trip comming up. completed the job & b4 i took it off the stands i started the car. Wanted to make sure everything sounded right & no leakyness of any kind. Anyways, while in neutral & no resistance on the front wheels, they spin like the car would be going forward. Now it's not like it's engauged in gear coz i can hold the wheels still with my hand.. so not much resistance at all will hold them still, so it's definatly not an issue the that would cause it to move while it was in neutral on the ground or anything .. but i was just curious if anyone else has experienced this?

I found this:

But was still unclear on why?
