Well actually, the true genius of it was the element of surprise. I didn't want to take her to the fancy shmancy French restaurant that we had talked about going to for a while because I knew that she would know right away what was going on. She told me a while back that she wanted to be caught off guard and surprised when it actually happened. First, I gave her a card (which I had written a letter in) that was hidden in my coat sleeve. Then when she was busy reading that I nonchalantly took the ring box out of my coat pocket. And yes, then I got down on one knee. h:
