I found a vtec light to be the easiest and cheapest way to make sure its working good. Alot of people make it seem more complex than it really is. Just get a bulb, either a LED, or a bulb from the back of your gauge cluster. Run a ground anywhere, then splice into the wire on the vtec solenoid. When its in vtec the light will stay lite up.
