The only thing bad about it from my experience was the back jarring ride. Yes, it did handle better though. It did not hurt my car at all while it was lowered. At least, not that i know off. I put the stock srpings back on mine because i did not feel like buying a camber kit. Also, my back feels better after a drive. Like i said though, if you lower it, be sure to get the camber kit first.

Edit: Also, if you want to buy some lowering springs for cheap, let me know. I'm in Georgia if you'd like to drive over and pick them up in person.
