Me: "um, they're 25% off this week. The sign by them said $32.26."
TRU guy: "they're $42.95 and with 25% off it's $32.26"
We went back and forth and he called his manager over and finally they took off 25% which brought him down to $24.20 + tax = $25.64. Then the coupon made it's appearance triggering a

from the TRU guy and a :reechy: from me.

I'm assigned to the retail divisions at my college. If they put a sign out that says $32.26, and don't put a disclaimer on it such as "sale price", after discount...etc...then they have to honor the signed price plus the discounts. Additionally if the sign does not have a disclaimer that the sale/discount can not be combined with other offers or coupons, you're well within your rights to use all applicable coupons.
I'm always on the lookout for store f-ups like that.
