He is ranked as country many times but country music never really embraced him as one of their own. He wasn't allowed for a long time into the Grand Ole Opry and when finally they allowed him it was due to his fans pressure, so he stomped out the stage lights at the Opry and was banned for life because of it.

Johnny Cash will always be legend.

The Country Music Community is really snobby in that aspect...It's really sad.
