when you're driving around, try to keep the revs above 2k for the most part. If you're in 3rd gear revving at 1300rpm and you hit the gas, you're not gonna get much acceleration. if you're going up a relatively steep hill, and you're in no rush, shift at around 4k-4.5k rpm.

our low-displacement 4-cylinders aren't big on low-end torque
