i dunno how the super white bulbs are, but the yellow bulbs have lasted me about a year and they are still fine. mtec is much better than any knock off and theyll last you a while. i am in washington state also and had a lot of police watch me as i passed by (incuding state patrol) and i havent gotten pulled over. the 9005 bulb can be modified to fit into the 9006 socket but i dont know about 9007s
