I probably dress more conservatively than a lot of other "young people," out of preference. Even in college, although I wasn't a fan of belts for a few years there. I haven't worn jeans in YEARS. I think this helps when I'm in stores and restaurants... with a clean shirt, pants, belt, and combed hair (left side part), they are more willing to deal with you. Not that anyone at Burger King cares per se, but sometimes I think it does help.

But car dealers are used to 50-year-olds with money. I don't know how many 30-somethings are out there doing crazy financing to get their first BMWs, but I think it might be prevalent.
