I like so many other people heard the myth of the resistor in the AIT sensor and the added horsepower. Instead of oredering it off of EBAY like i was going to do i went to radio shack and got 5 for a dollar. After i put it in my car seemed to have a slight increase in power but 2 miles down the road my check engine light came on. I removed the resistor and plugged the AIT back in. Now though my car's check engine light will come on whenever i drive for a while. It goes off when i turn my car off and crank it back up, but then comes on again. Could this be a result of failing smog checks? Should i just unhook the battery cables and try to let the cpu reset or have i caused a greater problem? I only had the resistor in for a matter of hours.
