My neighbor had three fingers on one hand and his thumb hanging on by a little flap of skin. He had been cleaning the blades, with the engine off, cold, and I think the sparkplug cap off, or partially off. Somehow it got started and cut his fingers off. So he ran inside, called his wife with his hands covered in blood and drove to the hospital. I can't remember what happened to him..
