Are you being sarcastic or something? She had a point. She wasn't staying very long, she probably just needed basic, reliable transportation, in that scenario the only thing I would care about would be resale. Really, if I went to Italy, was only planning on staying a year but needed a car and a Fiat had the best resale, I'd probably buy one. Whatever quality problems a car has down the line is irrelevant if you're getting rid of it soon.
