I thought the Barracuda would be way out of my price range but not only is it well within it, from everything I've read it's superior to the Maxtor. Also, Seagate is the only HD maker that doesn't utilize a bridge on it's parallel HD's to make it a serial drive.

I'll look at em, but I am pretty much sold on the RaidMax xA case. It fits 2 80mm fans on the back, one 80mm up front and I'm gonna add another 80mm on the side window. As for build quality, I guess I won't know until I get it. The good thing is that not only does it come with a PSU, which i'm gonna get rid of, it also comes with a media keyboard and and optical mouse for the low, low price of $49.99. The DFI techs recommend at least a 480 watt PSU so that's why i'm buying one seperate from the case.

You forgot a CPU fan/cooler. Zalman and Thermaltake make good ones. that's another $40 at least.
Everyone says the oem heatsink/fan is very capable of cooling the cpu at stock speeds, but once I OC, i'm going with a Thermaltake XP-90 heatsink w/Zalman fan

If you have a digicam or something that uses flash memory, might as well get a memory card reader as well to go under the floppy drive. So much easier than finding an external reader and plugging it in (just looks messy and cluttered).
The slot under my floppy is spoken for...my psu comes with a temperature monitor/fan controller that fits in the extra floppy drive slot
